I’m down in Georgia with Alex Kane, and we’re in the middle of a fucking creative knife fight — learning, breaking, and rebuilding everything fucking thing we know about making film.
We’re not shooting wide. We’re going tall. Vertical. The same way you hold your phone. Sounds simple till you realize every freaking rule you ever learned about framing, blocking, lighting, pacing — all of it — gets tossed straight out the damn window. It’s like learning to speak the language of cinema all over again, one frame at a time.
Alex and I are treating this like film school on steroids. We’re building new rigs, testing new lenses, finding out what works and what doesn’t when the story has to live in that narrow frame. We’re talking to platforms, creators, engineers, and a few fucking badass lunatics who see what’s coming next.
It’s not about chasing trends. It’s about staying ahead of them. The future of storytelling doesn’t wait for permission, and it sure as hell doesn’t fit in a box.
This isn’t the Boondocks you remember. It’s the Duffy-verse re-engineered for the new frontier — fast, fearless, and yup- fucking vertical.
Stay tuned. We’re still learning, still breaking things, still fucking rolling!
