I jumped on Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla this week and we went off like two sticks of dynamite in a fucking phone booth. Jimmy’s a good dude, sharp as hell and one of the few left who can hold a real conversation without a script or a leash.

We tore into everything from Hollywood’s culture swings to the weird state of the world — how it’s suddenly cool again to give a damn about America, how storytelling’s lost its grit and why I’ll always bet on the working man with fire in his gut.

Somewhere between the laughs and the chaos I realized we got so caught up talking about all that cool shit I forgot to even mention my new book. Figures, right? That’s what happens when the shit gets real — you stop plugging and start talking like humans again.

That’s what I love about doing shows like this. No handlers. No Hollywood spin. Just two guys tossing truth grenades across the table and seeing what blows up.
