Every once in a while someone in the press actually gets it. Not the surface Hollywood bullshit but the blood, sweat and stubborn fire that has kept The Boondock Saints alive all these years. Big shoutout to McEric and the crew at Ain’t It Cool News for a write up that cuts straight to the bone.
They didn’t just talk about the movie. They talked about why it still matters. How two Irish brothers from Boston became a symbol for anyone who ever got fed up with the system and decided to stand up instead of stand by.
When I wrote The Boondock Saints I wasn’t chasing trends or trying to be pretty. I was telling the story of men who believed in something. Faith, family and a code that doesn’t bend. You took that story and turned it into a movement. You passed it down. You kept it alive. You made sure the world didn’t forget.
Now we’re back with The Boondock Saints: Vol. 1 – Blood Origin and it has that same DNA but evolved for the world we live in now. Tech, corruption and chaos. The monsters have changed but the mission hasn’t. Connor and Murphy are older, smarter and still willing to get their hands dirty for what’s right.
“This isn’t nostalgia. It’s resurrection. The fight never ended. It just got louder.”
To everyone at Ain’t It Cool and every Saint who has carried the torch, respect. You’re the reason this story still fucking breathes.
