‘The Boondock Saints 3’ 2016: ‘The Walking Dead’ Star Norman Reedus Confirms It’s His Next Big Project
With The Walking Dead season 7 already starting this month, many people are wondering what is the next big project their favorite actors and actresses. Fortunately, Norman Reedus did not want to leave fans guessing, as he confirmed that he is already working on The Boondock Saints 3.
The third installment in the film franchise was first announced as early as September of last year. The first movie did not particularly achieve success in the box office, and some even called it a bad rip-off of a Tarantino film. However, the film found its niche in the home video market, with sales successful enough to warrant a sequel years later in the form of The Boondock Saints 2.The sequel suffered the same fate as it predecessor. It outperformed the original, but it is still not enough to be considered a “box office success.” However, the loyal fan base proved that they can still rescue the franchise as the second film found even more success in the home video market. Now, in The Boondock Saints 3, Norman Reedus and his co-star Sean Patrick Flanery will reprise their roles as Murphy and Connor MacManus. As director Troy Duffy reveals, the story will focus on the two brothers being treated as folk heroes. There will also be a story arc that takes the audiences back in time, to the “first ever crime” that the brothers committed.
